2. Survey Area  To get to our survey area it is only about a 25 minute drive from WJHS to the mouth of parleys.

3. Climatic Data  Our the average temperature of our survey area ranges 45 and 50 ° Fahrenheit.  The average precipitation is 10 to 20 inches per year mostly in the form of snow.

4. Vegetation  Rabbit brush, sage brush, scrub live oak, big blue stem grass, and prickly pear cactus are a few of the flora in our area.  We observed these plants and the ground coverage provided by them is substantial to support the life forms found there easily.

5. Fauna  Mountain lions, mule deer, rock squirrel, black tail jack rabbit, and pinyon mouse are a few of the species that reside in our area.

6. Interspecies - Interactions  Predators Large animals, small animals (Lynx, Mountain Lion)  Parasites Ticks

7. Population Size  Mule Deer: 200,000  Cougars (Mountain Lion): 2,000  Rock Squirrel: Small population in the lower mountains in central Utah.  Black-tailed Jackrabbit: Few, in the higher mountains.  Pinyon Mouse: Few, in the lower mountains near or in the Uintah mountain range.

8. Data Obtaining Techniques If you were in the field, you would be able to find all this information by observation (scat, etc.). However, tagging could be helpful for finding information concerning population size.
