Here’s how the rewrite should look In the novel, The Hobbit, written by J.R.R. Tolkien, Bilbo Baggins demonstrates courage by risking his life and setting out on a dangerous journey to help others. In the beginning of the novel, Bilbo lives a quiet and peaceful life in his comfortable home at Bag End. Bilbo is quite content in his normal life, but one day his comfort is shattered by the arrival of the old wizard Gandalf, who persuades Bilbo to set out on an adventure. Gandalf asks Bilbo to assist a group of dwarves to reclaim their treasure from the perilous dragon, Smaug. After hearing Gandalf’s request Bilbo is terrified to leave his comfortable life to seek adventure, but he shows bravery and is convinced to leave his home behind to embark on this quest. Bilbo displays a true act of heroism by being courageous and getting out of his comfort zone to help others in need.
