4. CONFIDENTIAL Gift Cards In order for gift cards to be activated or recharged within a store, additional configuration is required within Configuration Client. Gift cards can be activated and recharged on the POS only. Three steps are required: Department Configuration Sales Configuration Button / Soft key Assignments 4

5. CONFIDENTIAL Gift Card Configuration Separate departments are used for activation and re-charge. If you are not using re-charge do not create or assign those functions. Appropriately name the departments created for gift cards for reporting purposes. MUST HAVE PRODUCT CODE 533!!! No other properties are required. Department Setup 5

6. CONFIDENTIAL Gift Card Configuration Prepaid Activation Department field requires the department for Prepaid Activation to be assigned Prepaid Card Re-charge Department requires the department for Prepaid Re- charge to be entered if used. Sales Configuration 6

CONFIDENTIAL Gift Card Configuration A touch screen button or a soft key needs to be assigned The key assignment is a function for either Gift Card Purchase(Activation) or Gift Card Re-charge When tendering out the sale the POS will not prompt for the card to be slid until the sale is completely paid for. 8. CONFIDENTIAL Gift Card Sales Errors 8 Error #MessageMeaning E1285GIFT CARD AMOUNT TOO HIGH The amount being applied to the card is higher than the maximum amount allowed. E1286GIFT CARD AMOUNT TOO LOW The amount being applied to the card is lower than the minimum amount allowed. E1287GIFT CARD CANNOT BE ACTIVATED The gift card is not setup for activations/recharges. E1288COMM OFFLINE: NO GIFT CARD FUNCTION Attempted to activate/recharge a Gift card when the network is offline. E1289NON GIFT CARD ITEM ON TICKET Gift card functionality is not valid for at least one item in the transaction. E1290CARD IS NOT A GIFT CARD Attempted to activate / recharge a card that is not a Gift Card. E1291MANUAL ENTRY NOT ALLOWED Manual entry is not allowed for this Gift Card E1292TOO MANY GIFT CARDS ON TICKET Attempted to activate/recharge more Gift Cards than the network allows.

9. CONFIDENTIAL Key Points to Remember The departments created must have the product code 533. Departments must be assigned in sales configuration. The card will not be slid on the POS until the transaction is completed to ensure the sale is paid for. 9
