Objectives of local AUV competition Promote OES & local AUV technology Reach out, promote awareness in underwater robotics – Universities, Polytechnics and Research Institutes Singapore’s visibility in international competitions – Local competitions as part of international ones Break new ground in UW Robotics – Increase challenge levels over years

Proposed first AUV Competition Target competition date: end 2012 Category – Autonomous (AUV) ; or – ROV Environment – Pool Allow the use of GPS Proposed obstacles: as per next slide Sponsorship & prize – Commercial involvements encouraged
