SCIENCE REVIEW Please take notes

The materials needed to build a circuit that would demonstrate flow of energy are: battery, bulb, switch, and copper wire. When light hits a mirror at an angle, it reflects in the opposite direction. A shiny piece of metal would reflect more light than a wall painted gray, a black road, or a piece of paper. An object in a clear container of water doesn’t line up because light rays change direction in the water.
3
Water in a still pond would reflect light so that it creates a mirror-like image. Light energy is the power source for a solar- powered calculator. Light travels in a straight line unless it travels through something else. To demonstrate this, you would need only a prism and a flashlight. A fan and a pencil sharpener use electrical energy to move. If the battery of an electromagnet feels too hot to handle, you should stop and tell a teacher.
4
Objects like saltwater and aluminum foil conduct electricity, but wood chips, sand, and grass do not. When water goes through turbines in a hydroelectric power plant, the turbines use mechanical energy to produce electricity. To record information for an investigation on refraction, you would need a flashlight, prism, and a notebook. You will need to know how to create a closed circuit that would produce sound.
5
Know the definition and examples of mechanical energy, thermal energy, and electrical energy (hint: use your textbook) Be able to draw and explain how a beam of light changes into a rainbow when it goes into a new medium (prism).
