12. Final Comments Even though some results did not show significant differences, last year’s participants rated the Interaction with RCs, Fac., Teachers and Mentors slightly higher. However, with the exception of one component, this year’s participants rated the Learning Experiences higher than last year’s participants.

Final Comments Even though some results did not show significant differences last year’s teachers rated several components slightly higher: SI’s contribution to their math content knowledge (3.90 vs. 4.13) and pre-academy orientation prepared them to help students during the week (4.70 vs. 5.00). The SI in improving their teaching practices (3.70 vs. 4.25) and their overall satisfaction (4.50 vs. 4.88) with the SI. 100% of this year’s teachers noted that they gained ideas for the community based projects. However, when asked about preparation to assist students with carrying out projects, last year participants rated their preparation level higher (4.56 vs. 4.75). There we also slightly higher ratings by last year teachers on many of the content areas.
