ABSTRACT Generally submitted for qualifying the first stage of an event- So most important Officially not a part of the paper during presentation Word limit is specified by the organizer Should include name of the theory used, important data, conclusion of your model and USP of your idea. A small account of basic idea and implementation of your project

INTRODUCTION Gives the background of your project Origin of your idea Considers the audience as laymen and mention the basic theory that is required to understand your concept.

LINE DIAGRAM Schematic representation of your model. Ckt in case of electronic or electrical project. Mechanical design Flow chart or block diagram

WORKING Involves detailed procedure of your proposed model. Methodology used to collect data in case of survey papers. Working of the circuitry used. Explanation of the algorithm if used.

QUANTITATIVE FACTS Gives the account of the facts that you have used in implementation of your project. Data collected in case of survey paper.

ANALYSIS AND MODELING Involves the analysis of your design Application of data in form of a model. Merits and Demerits with respect to the existing system. Areas of application Possible modifications

RESULTS Gives the quantitative results of the experiment or the survey that you have done. The new fact that is depicted from your idea. Should not be exaggerated

CONCLUSIONS The most important part of your paper. Draws conclusions from your observations and results. It should tell the judges the moral of your paper and why you made this paper.

REFERENCES Lists the sources of facts you have used to implement your idea. It should include the following URL (web reference) Books Past papers Intellectuals and teachers Never leave off this section.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO REMEMBER The slides are for the reference of the audience not the presenter. Abbreviations should not be used. Format should be strictly followed and the presentation should be completed in stipulated time period Fancy fonts should not be used. Words should be clearly visible to audience. Don’t exceed time limit- there is a warning buzzer. Distribute presentation time equally.

TIPS TO FETCH MORE MARKS Representation should be more diagrammatic. Questions raised by the audience and judges should be dealt properly. Leave hints in your paper, so that judges can ask questions on those matters. If you don’t know the answer of a question, don’t try to misguide audience. Never argue with the judges. If introducing a product, include a proper cost analysis Highlight the important points.
