Biography Michael Kenji Shinoda was born February 11, 1977 in Agoura Hills, California. He started playing the Piano and Keyboard in middle school. In high school, he met Brad Delson (Guitarist) and Rob Bourdon (Drummer). They formed the band Xero. He graduated from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. In college, his band met Joseph Hahn (DJ/Turntablist), and David Farrell “Phoenix” (Bassist). In March 1999, they found their lead singer Chester Bennington. Once they had a full band, they changed their band name to, “Hybrid Theory”.

Bio Continued… In the year 2000, they changed their name to “Linkin Park”, and named their first album “Hybrid Theory”. In July of 2002, they released the album, “Reanimation”. In March of 2003, they released the album, “Meteora”. In late 2004, they made a remix album with “Jay-Z” called, “Collision Course”. In May of 2007, they released the album, “Minutes to Midnight”. In September 2010, they released the album, “A Thousand Suns”. In the year 2010, they released a mobile device game called, “8-Bit Rebellion”. In June of 2012, they released their latest album, “Living Things”.

Music History “In the End”, by Linkin Park This song was released in the year 2000. It is their best-selling song. It relates to a lot of people. They went against what their record label told them to do for the music video, and they ended up having great success.

Music History Continued… “Numb”, by Linkin Park This song was written in the year 2003. It relates to young people that are tired of being expected to do something they don’t want to do. This song helped the band connect with their fans on a personal level, and in a more meaningful way.

Music History Continued… “What I’ve Done”, by Linkin Park This song was released in the year 2007. This song relates to everyone because it talks about making mistakes and washing away what they have done to themselves and others. This song featured in the movie, “Transformers”.
