1 Bellwork Once upon a time, you probably loved school. For some of you, something changed. For others, school is still something you enjoy. As October is the beginning of the “Owning My Literacy” project, I want you to tell your story. Like the “Freedom Writers,” I want you to reflect on the role you play to involve yourself in the community. Q: Are you an active participant in your learning process, or do you barely tolerate being here? Do you belong in any clubs and groups, or are you a person who is disconnected from the environment? Do you advocate for yourself in the classroom, or do you wait for others to do the work for you? At LEAST one paragraph please. Be thoughful.
