2. History of Football Football started being seen played in America in colleges in the earlier part of the 19th century. when football began it looked like rugby but Walter Camp who is considered the father of football introduced the line of scrimmage and the down and distance.

3. Walter Camp played football in the US his football career ended in 1882 he began coaching in 1888 and ended in 1895 his record as a coach was (79–5–3) Most of his coaching career was spent in Yale

4. John Heisman played football, baseball, and basketball in the US his football career ended in 1891 he began coaching in 1892 and ended in 1927 his record was 186-70-18 (186-70-18)
