Building on a Legacy of Excellence Mobile Pages and Content Management Mobile device’s screens are small Many users access the Internet almost exclusively via their phone Most webpages are designed for desktop computers with large monitors Displays on mobile devices need to be stretched and sized constantly when viewed on phones Resizing webpages designed for desktop monitors on ones cell phone is awkward at best if not a barrier for most users

Building on a Legacy of Excellence Mobile Pages and Content Management Website users including SRJC Students use their mobile devices such as phones and iPads to view Website content. 10% of SRJC webpages are viewed via a mobile device. Perhaps much more usage if the pages were designed for easy viewing on mobile devices. Is this a recruitment/retention issue? Moving toward a mobile friendly web design evokes many “Content Management” issues.
