White represents purity and truth, freedom of expression, tolerance and moderation. Green represents faith and fertility, wealth and development. 6 WHO WAS MAHATMA GANDHI ? In India Mahatma Gandhi is also know as bapu (Father). Gandhi led India to independence and inspired movements for civil rights freedom across the world.
