As well as if a manor of thy friend's Or of thine own were: Any man's death diminishes me, Because I am involved in mankind, And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; It tolls for thee. 3 My Inspiration Why does the bell toll? For whom does the bell toll? The song (sound) of solitude Why the sudden song of the bells? It belongs here even though it breaks the silence, Is a part of this place like winter has its snow. Does it sound for the squirrels scurrying over the ground? Does it ring out the cries of the wind? Does it ring out the cries of the wind? Maybe it tolls for the people who pass While the notes echo on the ground.
