Nature Based Tourism Geology Initiative in eastern –Geological Tours/Fossil Observation included in Exit Survey –Approximately 30,000 participants –Mainly from Ontario who travelled for vacation/pleasure –Higher than average expenditures –St. John’s is a key destination –Other nature based activities

Walking and Hiking Regional and/or cluster based approach to development –Towns of Fortune & Grand Bank –Garnish & Frenchman’s Cove –Towns of St. Mary’s, Gaskier’s and St. Vincent’s –Cupids, Brigus, and Bay Roberts –Hike Discovery on Bonavista Peninsula
