2. Space Science:
Children from third to fifth grade would benefit from learning in a fun interactive way, the names of the planets in our solar system, creating brochures on the computer by researching information to create a solar system that would point out the different planets and its characteristics.

3. Objective:
Students will learn about the other eight planets in the solar system.
Students will learn about each planets characteristics.
This lesson will promote social and cognitive skills and will teach students how to use their creativity.
Students will acquire knowledge of Microsoft Word and will learn how to use technology as a research tool.

4. The lesson:
After teaching the eight planets, students will be directed to work in groups of four, ( the number of students in a group will depend on the number of students in the class), each group will be assigned a computer to research about the different planets in the solar system and its characteristics.
Students must include in their brochure information such as: size of planet, temperature of planet, number of moons and its unique features.
After the research is done on the planet assigned, students will individually write about their experience in Microsoft Word in a persuasive essay.

6. Assessment:
Students will demonstrate their acquisition of knowledge of Space Science by presenting their brochure and its content to the class.
Students will improve and/or demonstrate their note taking skills while working on this project.
