Of Our LORD JESUS CHRIST

The bible speaks of two comings of our Lord Jesus Christ. The first coming was that of almost 2000 years ago. When the Son of God was brought in to mankind. He went down from heaven and took the form of a man and dwelt among us. The second coming shall be the future coming back of our Lord and Savior. Here He shall finally establish His kingdom on earth and reign with His saints with His people.

 We shall talk about His first coming…

 1. The LORD is the Deliverer  Ps 34:4  I sought the LORD, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears.  Ps 37:39  The salvation of the righteous comes from the LORD?  He is their stronghold in time of trouble.

 Ps 37:40  The LORD helps them and delivers them;  He delivers them from the wicked and saves them,  because they take refuge in Him.

 Jer 50:34b Yet their Redeemer is strong; the LORD Almighty is his name.

2. Christ disarmed and defeated the devil  Eph 2:2 in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.  Eph 2:3 All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath.

 Eph 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.  Jn 12:31 Now is the time for judgment on this world; now the prince of this world will be driven out.

 3. Christ brought the victory  Eph 1:19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength,  Eph 1:20 which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms,

 Eph 1:21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.  Eph 1:22 And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church,

 2Ti 1:10 but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.  1Jn 3:8 He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.

 4. God gave it to the Church  Jn 8:12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”  Eph 3:10 His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms,

 Eph 1:17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.  Eph 1:18 I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,  Eph 1:19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength,

 Act 26:18 to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’

 5. He sees us victorious with Him  Josh 1:5 No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.  1Co 15:57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

 1Jn 4:4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

As children of God, we are in the position to conquer the land. The promise land God has given to us. We shall enter that land if we stand our ground and live by faith in Him. Many of the Israelites died in the wilderness because of unbelief. They forgot that God was with them all the way to lead them to victory.

Today, what is that land? All our aspirations, hopes, prayers and desires… All can be achieve if you believe and sees yourself as our God sees you… The first coming of Christ was to deliver us from satan and restore us into eternal life and abundant victorious lives…
