2 Streetwise Programme (SWP) Government funded Coordinated by the National Youth Council Aims to c hange the behaviour of youths who have drifted to gangs Programme:  6-month structured programme incorporating Counseling, Family Conferencing, Peer support, Recreation, Academic Activities

3 Youth Family Care Programme Aims  Allocate mentor families to befriend, mentor, support and encourage juveniles  To place them on probation or statutory supervision  To provide hope and modeling for healthy families  To help juvenile offenders and children beyond parental control with little family support, but are remorseful about their past misdeeds and do not possess in-grained delinquent traits. Target Audience: Delinquent youths from broken and/or dysfunctional families

4 Beyond Parental Control (BPC) Family Conferencing Aims  To strengthen family bonds  Enable parents to better control the juvenile  Encourages the juvenile to take responsibility for his/her misdeeds  Reduces the likelihood for the juvenile to commit another offence Target Audience:  BPC juveniles
