5 Page 5 Solar Cell Whitening : to be closed FM Solar cell whitening was found after thermal cycling (-160 ℃ ~ 180 ℃ ) in vacuum. Has been regarded as the most critical item. Cell whitening was caused by the pealing of anti-reflector coating from cell. Cell whitening broadened when the cell is exposed to the air after testing. In vacuum condition, whitening expands only during first heat-up cycle but not later. MMO status

6 Page 6 Solar Cell Whitening Cell whitening observed where the thickness of the glue(DC93-500) is less than 40um

7 Page 7 Currently degradation of power generation due to the cell whitening is less than 1%. Worst case analysis shows degradation of power generation at EOL is 11% which is lower than the budget (17%). → Use as is. Solar cell whitening
