5 Strategies for use of ETs Use of ETs requires competencies. 6 Students’ Perceptions and use of ETs Majority of male and female perceive ETs as technologies that facilitate learning, useful for and hence are learning technologies. However, differences are noted in choice of activities for ET use All students use ETs for academics but Gender scripts and the doing of gender influences Access and use experiences, personal interests and choices Thus more female use ET for communication (email and chatting) More male use for entertainment (games, music and movies) 12/20/2015Prepared for eMerge 20126
