4. To register for MyWritingLab, you will need: 1.Access Code 2. Valid e-mail address (ex:student123@student.alamo.edu) 3. School zip code (78203) 4. Your instructor’s Course ID

5. Registration Step 1: Go to www.mywritinglab.comwww.mywritinglab.com Click on “Student” under the Register section

6. Click “Yes I have a course ID” Registration Step 2 :

7. Enter the Course ID that you wrote down at the beginning of this presentation Registration Step 3 :

8. Registration Step 4: Click “Yes I have an access code” Click “Next”

9. Registration Step 5: Select your Course

10. Registration Step 6: Review the Licensing & Agreement policy Click “I Accept”

11. Registration Step 7: If you are NEW to Mywritinglab, you may skip this step and go to the next slide. Access Information:  If you have used a MyLab before (Ex. MyMathLab or MyReadingLab or MywritingLab) click “Yes” and enter your existing login name & password  If needed, click “Forgot your login name/password to have it e-mailed to you

12. Registration Step 8: Click “Check Availability” after creating your login name Be sure to confirm your password before moving on! Access Information:  If you have never used a Mywritinglab before, click “No” and create a login name & password  Use your ACES email address and password as your username and password  Email address example: xvgarcia123@student.alamo.edu

13. Registration Step 9: Once you have entered your information, enter your access code (IN ALL CAPS) at the bottom of the page and click “Next”

14. Registration Step 10: Confirm your Account After you select United States, enter 78203 for your zip and select St. Philips College Review or enter the personal information needed for your account Click “Next”

15. Registration Step 11: Confirmation & Summary Click “Log in now” to join your instructor’s course

16. Last Step: Joining Your Instructor’s MyWritingLab Course  Click “Join your instructor’s course”  Then “Continue”  Enter the Course ID that you wrote down at the beginning of the presentation.

17. Congratulations! You are now registered for MyWritingLab CONTINUE TO THE NEXT SLIDE FOR THE NEXT STEP.

18. Directions On the right hand side of the screen, click on "Sentence Structure“ Click on the link and begin viewing the Sliderocket presentation. While you are viewing the presentation, you may work on the handout.

19. After you finish the presentation and handout… Go to mywritinglab.com and sign in. Your username and password should be your aces email address and aces login. Once you are in the system, you will go the right hand side of the screen and under MY STUDY PLAN, you will click on the link that says "Sentence Structure“
