Dear Parents and Guardians: Soon you will be receiving a Score Report from the California Assessment of Performance and Progress (CAASPP) that will provide you with information on how your student performed on the 2015 CAASPP assessment. The following information is meant to assist you in making sense of the report. Please note the following: CAASPP scores cannot be compared to previously reported CST scores The scoring range for the CAASPP will look quite different than the previously used 100-600 range of the CST Average achievement measures for the 2015 CAASPP are based on average scores reported on the 2014 pilot test The CAASPP assessment is more challenging for students in analytical writing, critical thinking, and problem solving in English Language Arts and Mathematics The CAASPP assessment should be viewed as one part of your child’s academic measures that include classroom tests, assignments, and grades
