2 What Is A Discharge Cancellation? Member was terminated. Member is being reinstated after going through Civil Service hearing.

3 Effect On LACERA Benefits Missing data between termination date and reinstatement date. Salary Data. Service Credit and Contributions. Retirement account must be reconstructed to appear as if member never terminated service.

4 Documents Required Settlement agreement / Final Commission Action Reinstatement Date. Suspension Dates, if any. Salary Rates and Back Pay Salary rate schedule. Itemized listing of back pay.

5 Workflow Member’s Dept  Auditor-Controller  LACERA Auditor-Controller is responsible for disbursing Back Pay, but LACERA must calculate Back Contributions to be deducted before Back Pay can be disbursed.
