Moving the Insertion Point and Correcting Text, Chapter 22 Moving the Insertion Point Page Up: Moves the insertion point backward through your text a full window at a time. Page Down: Moves the insertion point forward through your text a full window at a time. Home: Moves the insertion point to the beginning of the line End: Moves your insertion point to the end of the line.

Moving the Insertion Point and Correcting Text, Chapter 24 Moving the Insertion Point When you move around in text with the Scroll Bar, the insertion point will remain wherever you last used it until you click the mouse at a new location.

Click the down arrow to scroll forward in the text one line at a time Click below the up arrow to move backward in the text one window at a time. Click above the down arrow to move backward in the text one window at a time. Drag the scroll box to move forward or backward quickly.

Del and Delete: Deletes characters following the insertion point. Ctrl/Backspace: Deletes the word in which the insertion point is located. Ctrl/Delete: Deletes from the insertion point to the end of the line.

Moving the Insertion Point and Correcting Text, Chapter 28 Path and Filename Code You can add the path and filename to any document you create very easily. From the Insert Menu, select Other. A cascading menu will appear, and there are several options from which to select. For the Path and Filename to appear on the document, choose that option.

Hold the Shift while you click at the end of the selection. –Hold the left mouse button down, and drag to highlight the desired text.

To select a Sentence: –Point to the sentence and triple click –Point to the left margin opposite the sentence and click once. To select a Paragraph: –Point within a paragraph and quadruple click. –Point to the left margin opposite the paragraph and click twice.

Moving the Insertion Point and Correcting Text, Chapter 212 Undo, Redo, and Undelete These features are available in the Edit menu. Undo: must be used immediately. Redo: Allows you to reverse the last Undo action.

Moving the Insertion Point and Correcting Text, Chapter 213 Undo, Redo, and Undelete (Continued) Undelete: Word remembers the last three deletions and will allow you to undelete the last three things that were deleted. You can change the number of undo’s allowed by selecting Undo/Redo and then History from the Edit menu.

Moving the Insertion Point and Correcting Text, Chapter 215 Reveal Codes These are hidden behind the word processing text codes. Codes are revealed by Alt/F3. The text at the top is separated from the text at the bottom with a double line. You can adjust the amount of information to be reveled by getting the double headed arrow at the reveal codes line, and dragging it up or down.

Moving the Insertion Point and Correcting Text, Chapter 216 General Guidelines for Formatting Formatting changes remain in effect until you make another formatting change that overrides the previous one. Use Reveal Codes to locate and delete any unnecessary codes.
