10. Now you create your own channel. Click on ‘My channel’.

14. First of all: Be Prepared! Know how the camera/device you are using works (picture – video mode / how to view on camera / how (not) to erase files / optimum file format for internet / uploading files onto your computer (know where they are stored) etc…) Make sure the batteries are charged / you have enough power to film what you have to (have extra batteries/charger if needed) Make sure you have all the equipment you need when going to class (tripod stand if necessary, etc…) Do short trial recording and play it back to make sure the camera/device works properly before using it in class (do this as close to the moment of recording as possible) Try and have back-up option (other camera/device) if possible

15. 3. Uploading the video: from camera to computer to youtube. 1. Upload your film to your computer (usually by usb) 2. Log onto youtube and click on Profile Image.

16. Click on Profile Image and then on My channel

17. Click on ‘Videos’ and ‘Upload a video’

18. Choose video...

19. Upload the video.

20. Done!

21. Now just click on ‘Upload’ every time you want to upload more videos.

22. Click on ‘My channel’ to see all your videos.

23. 4. Uploading from a mobile device. Most mobile devices such as smart phones or tablets normally let you upload to youtube directly from the device. It is much quicker than the process we have just seen.

24. Record your film. Let’s use the iPad as an example. When you have recorded, click on the arrow icon ion the top right-hand corner.

25. Follow the steps.

26. From Computer: Click in ‘Video Manager’ Click on ‘Edit’ 5. Adding information & limiting access.

27. Add tags, description, limit access... and save changes.

28. From mobile device (iPad): just fill in the pop-up...and publish.

29. 6. Publish in other sites. Click on ‘share’ and choose site or get ‘embed’ link.
