When a person is unable to reproduce. Both Males and Females can be sterile. Males are unable to produce healthy sperm. This may be due to environmental factors such as chemical exposure. Medical research is discovering more about the causes of sterility and how it can be prevented.

This is when one of the testes does not descend into the scrotum at birth. This does not necessarily cause medical problems and is not considered a disease. But sperm may not develop properly in an undescended testis.

A hernia occurs when part of the intestine pushes into the scrotum through a weak spot in the wall near the scrotum. Surgery is almost always necessary to fix this.

A common problem in men after middle age. Can cause some pain and discomfort. Surrounds the urethra so may make it painful or difficult to urinate.

Cancer is an uncontrolled cell growth that invades the surrounding tissue and destroys it. Prostate is the most common in men. Testicular cancer occurs in men between the ages of 15 and 34.
