What Causes Stress for College Students? deciding what you want to do career-wise goals preparing for exams papers working while going to school set time aside for family and friends curricular involvement According to researchers at the Mayo Clinic, the average child laughs 300 to 500 times a day, while the average adult laughs only about 15 times a day.

How Does Laughter Help With Stress? Short-Term Effects Stimulate Many Organs- enhances your intake of oxygen, stimulates your heart, lungs, and muscles, and increases the endorphins released by your brain. Activate and relieve your stress response- fires up and then cools down your stress response, increasing your heart rate and blood pressure leaving behind a good, relaxed feeling. Soothe tension- stimulate circulation and aid muscle relaxation, both of which help reduce some of the physical symptoms of stress.

How Does Laughter Help With Stress? Long-term Effects Improves Your Immune System- positive thoughts release neuropeptides that help fight stress and potentially more serious illnesses. Relieve Pain- the body produces its own natural painkillers by laughing. Increases Personal Satisfaction- makes it easier to cope with certain situations and helps you connect with other people. Improves Your Mood- helps lessen depression and anxiety and makes you feel happier.
