Standardization of Weekly Screening Form for the Barangay Level a) Barangay level Weekly screening form which was adopted from the current NNC OPT Plus Form 1-A, it has 4 sheets: CMAM Weekly Screening Form Barangay Summary Sheet of Children 6-59 months screened Weekly Screening form for pregnant and lactating women Barangay Summary Sheet of Pregnant and Lactating Mothers Screened b) Municipal level Monthly statistics form, lifted and modified from the CMAM/PIMAM guidelines, it has 4 sheets: 1 for SAM 1 for MAM 1 for PLWs 1 for Milk Code and Breastfeeding Spaces B. 13 Progress Reporting for Region 8 (12/30/2013) Screening and treatment of SAM and MAM Nutrition sector partners screened 34,076 children for acute malnutrition in Leyte and Eastern Samar with 144 SAM and 849 MAM A total of 35 children were admitted to treatment – this number is expected to increase significantly as partners begin OTP and tSFP.

14 Blanket supplementary feeding program bSFP was completed in four municipalities in Leyte and six municipalities in Eastern Samar. BSFP in Tanuaun is on-going. In total bSFP has reached 23,756 children. A second round of BSFP will commence in the 2 nd week of January (given the availability of supplies). Targeted supplementary feeding program tSFP is currently rolled out and reaching 34 children in four municipalities. Additional partners will start expanding the programme.

15 Infant and Young Child feeding 15 Mother-Baby Friendly Tents in Tacloban (5 tents), Dulag (3 tents), Tabontabon, Julita, Alangalang and Ormoc (2 tents) provide psychosocial support and IYCF in emergencies counseling for women. Additional tent, Mercy in Action is also providing IYCF counseling in a delivery facility in Dulag. The tents and other cluster partners have served around 3,571 PLWs. Mobile tents provided IYCF counseling to PLWs in Tanauan, Tolosa, Tacloban and Basey municipalities.

16 Project Coordination Agreements WFP has signed FLAs with Samaritan’s Purse, IMC, Plan International and ACTED. An additional FLA with ACF is in discussion. UNICEF has signed PCAs with ChildFund, ACF and BMFRI. PCAs with Samaritan’s Purse, World Vision, IMC, Save the Children and NNC are in the final stage and are expected to be signed soon.

17 Conduct of 2-day ‘crash course’ on CMAM on 18-19 Dec. 2013 Planning for the 5-day CMAM training from 13-17 JAN in Cebu Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC) involved in CMAM: a) provide trainers b) actual response - treated 21 SAM cases (6 cases in November and 15 cases in November) from the ground and/or from Bogo, Bantayan and Daan Bantayan District Hospitals CMAM Supplies provided to Madredejos, Malapascua, Bogo City, Daan Bantayan and Bantayan District Hospitals Progress Reporting for Region 7 (12/30/2013)
