In the Beginning: -Both male & female “in His image” [Ge1:26-28] They were created equal beings w/ joint roles. -Adam authorized to name “living things.” [2:19] God desired to give Adam a “helper” [v18-23] A God-given “order of authority.” cf. 1 Cor 11:8-9 -Unity is stressed despite their differences [v24-25] He desires man & woman to be united. cf. 1Co11:11-12

In the Beginning: “Unity in diversity” Ge 1-2 Then Comes The Curse: Ge 3:16 “Your desire will be for your husband, & he will rule over you.” 3:16 Speaking to Cain, “(Sin) desires to have you, but you must master it.” 4:7 The only sensible interpretation is that “The Curse” distorted God’s good plan.

Cf. Lev 9:3-4

His story is full of important women. (Esp. Luke) In fact, He was revolutionary for His time. Yet, NEVER does He lift ALL restrictions. Why?
