Our Visit to Soho House Museum This is our story of Mary Seacole. We saw her trunk at the museum; it had her things inside. She was very brave and helped wounded soldiers when Britain was fighting Russia in 1854. We were able to dress up as Mary.

Mary Seacole’s Life as a Child. Mary was born in Jamaica. Her mother was a nurse. All Mary wanted to be when she grew up was a nurse, just like her mum. She practiced her nursing on her _ _ _ _ _. She also practiced on _ _ _ _ and _ _ _ _.

Mary Seacole on the Battlefield Mary is much more famous for going out into the battlefields and helping the soldiers there. She was called “M _ _ _ _ _ Seacole” by the soldiers. She brought medicine, food and water to help them.

Mary’s Life After The War Back in Britain Mary was very famous. Soldiers she had helped had come back to Britain and told her story. A four day festival with military parades was held to raise money for her. She went on to write a book about her life called ……..
