4 1. Cardiff Cardiff is the capital of Wales. You can see that many Dragons are decorating the city, for example at the city hall.

5 1. Cardiff In Cardiff there is also the Welsh Office, the headquarter of the Welsh Minister. Another interesting sight is the Cardiff Castle. It has been renovated in 1873, but still some elements of this castle come from the Romans.

7 2. Saint David‘s With people it is the smallest city in the United Kingdom. It only became a city because of the Saint David’s Cathedral. Saint David (Welsh: Dewi Sant) is the patron saint of Wales.

9 3. Great Orme The Great Orme is a little hill nearby Llandudno.
With good visibility, you can even see Anglesey, the Snowdon (the highest mountain in Wales) and Liverpool.

12 4. Pembrokeshire Coast The Pembrokeshire Coast goes from Cardigan to the Afon Tywi (the longest river in Wales). There are a lot of hotels for Hikers. This area is very popular, because of the spectacular views you can have while going along this coast.

15 5. Brecon Beacons The Brecon Beacons are a ridge and belongs to the south part of Wales, but they are the borders to the north part. This area is a Water conservation area, because of the dams, which have been build there.

18 5. Snowdonia In the national park Snowdonia there are the highest mountains in Wales. The park got it’s name from the highest mountain “Snowdon”. In the valleys between the mountains there are many rivers, seas and waterfalls.
