17 Appearance Girls and boys may wear one pair of small plain gold/silver studs in the lobe of the ear. No other jewellery is allowed. Facial piercings are not allowed. Make-up, false eyelashes, nail varnish are not allowed. Coloured scarves, football scarves, football hats or baseball caps are not allowed on school premises. The school scarf and hat are available from Student Services in school.

18 Essential Equipment Your tutor will check every day that you have: –a school bag –a pencil case (pen, pencil, ruler, rubber, pencil sharpener) –your homework diary. Teachers will not be providing pens. We want to create organised, independent young people.

19 Pencil Cases You can buy a pencil case for £1.50 from Student Services in school. You will be expected to rent a pencil case for the day if you do not bring one to school

31 25 points = Bronze Award / Badge 50 points = Silver Award / Badge 100 points = Gold Award / Badge This year we will be promoting a league table for each year group as well as a student league table. 42 Good attendance is a pre-requisite for a successful school career. There is a strong link between attendance and attainment and a student who fails to attend school regularly cannot hope to achieve their full potential. Attendance is a high priority at Witton Park Academy and we expect all out students to aim for an attendance percentage of at least 97%. ATTENDANCE – Striving for 97%

43 There is a variety of schemes in place to encourage excellent attendance: 100% Attendance £10.00 Voucher and Certificate at the end of the year Entry into the 100% Prize Raffles held every term – prize £20.00 Voucher. Entry into Tutor Group Raffles every half-term. 95% Attendance and above Entry into the Tutor Group Raffles every half-term Students will be invited to take part in our end of year school trips if they meet the de-merit criteria Attendance Certificates are sent home once a year to all students.
