13. Oakland Catholic presents “Girl Rising.” A movie about nine remarkable women in developing countries and the power of education to create a better future for women in all parts of the world. The movie will be shown on Friday, November 8 th in the JOA theatre after school. Tickets will be sold in the cafeteria for 5$ beginning today during lunch. All of the money made from ticket sales will be donated to CARE, a nonprofit organization supported by the Girl Rising Project. Please show your support and buy a ticket today!
