German food Germans are famous for their many varieties of sausages They dine on cabbage and potatoes to keep them warm in the winter Because there are many Immigrants to Germany, Pizza and Chinese food are Now popular.

German Culture Germans practice both the Protestant and Catholic religions Famous Germans: Albert Einstein, Martin Luther, Mozart, and Karl Marx

Aschenputtel’s Story Aschenputtel’s mom died early in her life Her father remarried, and the woman already had two daughters Her stepmom and stepsisters treated her wrong Ascheputtel was often dirty because of the intense labor she had to perform A magic tree that grew from her mother’s grave provided her with doves who helped her

Happy Ending Achenputtel’s story ended up happy with her marrying the prince Her wicked stepsisters were punished- their eyes were pecked out by the birds who helped Aschenputtel This story teaches a lesson: “What comes around, goes around”

Aschenputtel and Oni Oni is a folktale from West Africa Both characters had shoes that were special to them Both characters were lonely and mistreated by other people Oni had no family, unlike Aschenputtel Oni performed his own heroic actions

Aschenputtel and Algonquin Cinderella Both are treated cruelly by their sisters and forgotten by their father Both seek to better their life through getting away from their family Algonquin Cinderella is a Native American folk tale The Algonquin Cinderella and Aschenputtel both get married to royalty in the end
