6 CROSS-BORDER ENERGY INFRASTRUCTURE 6 “The U.S. sees Canada as a pillar of our energy security.” - Former U.S. Ambassador David Jacobson Canada is America’s largest & most secure supplier of oil, natural gas, and electricity – and a leading supplier of uranium. 70 oil and gas pipelines currently cross the U.S.-Canada border. Canada exported almost $2 billion worth of electricity to the U.S. in 2012.
