3. Rounding with Money Rounding- to round a number means to find what a number is “closest to” When we round money, we follow the same steps as we do when we round numbers.

4. Step 1: Draw a monkey with the number you’re rounding in the middle and underline the place value you’re rounding to. Step 2: Write in what two numbers the number you’re rounding comes in between. Step 3: Circle the place value to the right of the underlined number and decide if you must round up or round down.

5. Remember 1, 2, 3, and 4 mean to ROUND DOWN 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 mean to ROUND UP
