9. Vocabulary Word: Round: to find the nearest value of a number based on a given place value. To round to a specific place value you have to look at the number to the right of that place value. Ex. 124 to the nearest hundred 124 underline the place value you are rounding. Now look at the number to the right of that place 124. If that number is 4 or smaller the number in the hundreds place stays the same. If the number is 5 or larger the number in the hundreds place goes up.
