3 Non-Fiction - Informational  A piece of literature that is meant to give information or facts about a topic.

4 Non-fiction - Biography  The story of a person’s life as written by another person.

5 Non-Fiction - Autobiography  The story of a person’s life written by that person.

6 Non-Fiction - Diary  A written account of what a person has done, felt, or thought, that is written by that person.

7 Fiction - Historical  This form of fiction recreates time, event, or place in history. It will contain facts but the story is imaginative.

8 Fiction - Realistic  Writing that shows life as it really is…includes everyday things such as getting a cold, throwing up, breaking a leg, etc.

9 Fiction – Realistic - Mystery  A story in which a character unravels a series of clues to solve an unexplained situation.
