Report on changing leisure activities in the USA Terms of reference - ? Procedures - ?
3
LOOK FOR PATTERNS!!! How many activities are there in each chart? Are the activities the same in each chart? Are there any changes in popularity between the two years?
4
Select and point out the most important details. This will include thinking about all the activities. To do this, try looking for: the biggest number the smallest number
5
Consider what changes between the two charts, because the task asks you to make comparisons. So, ask yourself: what’s gone up what’s gone down what hasn’t changed what’s new
6
Conclusion: Find a common thread that you could summarize the findings around: E.g., fashion trends in leisure activites
7
How would you organize the Findings section of this report? (x axis, y axis? Similarities?)

Findings - part 1: England In all four countries approximately half the people chose to stay in hotels. This figure was highest in England at around 55%, almost twice the number of people who cooked for themselves (27% of the sample) and far greater than the number who stayed in campsites (12%) and finally caravans (6%). Continue: A similar pattern can be seen… The country that shows a different pattern is...

Conclusion 1.Hotels were the most common form of accommodation at over 50%. 2.England, Scotland and Wales follow a broadly similar pattern (Scotland is only slightly different): a)Self-catering was the second most popular (just below 30%). b)Caravan and camping holidays were typically the least popular (around 10%) in Britain. 3.Northern Ireland follows a different pattern: there the popularity of caravanning comes second only to staying at hotels, while self-catering and camping are each chosen only by about 1 in ten holidaymaker.
