Issues In British Columbia

Economy: Problems increase in homelessness. prices are going up. wages and jobs are being cut. children suffer from lack of resources. bankruptcy effecting individuals. forced to sell homes. crime rates go up. declining stock markets. can’t pay bills. less job opportunities.

Economy: Solutions better trades with other countries. taxing the wealthy. cut budget for 2010 Winter Olympics. more support programs for the poor. more government social housing. stop targeting marginalized people. supply more occupations. better use of tax money. harsher sentences for gang members. more shelters.

Health Care: Problems not enough doctors and nurses. long wait list for serious transplants and surgeries. expensive health care. not enough hospital beds. expensive medicine. people cant afford proper health care. people aren’t able to get the help they need. people have to go to different provinces to get health care they need.

Health Care: Solutions better health care system. lower medicine prices. more funding for hospitals. open more hospitals and clinics. train more doctors and nurses. better knowledge and research on diseases. more money for education and research. encourage more people to get involved in the medical field.

Education: Problems not enough school funding. over-crowded classroom sizes. not enough classes for the special needs. lack of school supplies. declining enrollment. not enough teachers in some teaching fields. jobs lost. school closures. low quality education. hard to earn diploma and graduate. children don’t have interest in school. not everyone can receive a good education.

Education: Solutions more money into school. better programs/courses. employ more teachers. wider range of course selection. open more schools. more upgrades to schools.
