Statues Of Central Park
2
"There's a spot in Central Park, the Bethesda Fountain, where if you sit there long enough, the entire city walks by." —Matthew Perry as Alex Whitman, "Fools Rush In" (1997) This photo essay, is about the beauty of statues in Central Park. If you look, each photo has its own meaning which touches a place in everyones heart. While staring at each statues details it makes a calm part in everyone even me. When I first looked at these photos, I could look at each for hours just thinking. As the cover photo you have seen is the Bethesda Fountain, which is said to be the center of Central Park. The Bethesda Fountain has another name "Angel of the Waters.” And the fountain still serves as a place for review and reflection, even as the battles in World War II. New Yorkers could find a calmness at Bethesda Fountain. The Bethesda Fountain is one of the largest fountains in New York, measuring twenty- six feet high by ninety-six feet wide. The Bethesda fountain has been there for people for many years, providing happiness all across New York City. Although before this wonderful fountain was Central Park itself. In 1853 the state assembly authorized the City of New York to acquire more than 700 acres of land in the center of Manhattan!
