2. Rational for the project From my observation as a teacher learning is:  Limited to classroom  Low transferability/applicability of knowledge Teacher-centered method Technology is creating new opportunities for learning 2

3. Instructional Design Integrates the three learning theories  Behaviorist and cognitivist – basic knowledge (Self test questions)  Constructivism approach – project (database for recording observed data) Target Audience : High school students in Ethiopia(age 13 to 15) 3

Objectives The main objectives of this project will be to:  help students develop skill to keep data in a database and retrieve, edit, delete them when they need  create a way for the teachers to follow students input into the database by creating projects that let students encode data from their observations  create opportunity to reusing the database for later course delivery 4

Reflection Challenges: Overall I learned the most from the process and the challenges(coding) doesn’t frustrate me rather challenged me and gave me more momentum to develop myself in the field Lesson learned: Designing database efficiently, and using PHP and MySQL together are my favorite parts Future Plan: To move forward explore more and continue design educational websites Example: On my project  adding more contents  working more on CSS for the look  allowing students to submit image, pictures, videos, and presentation documents so that peers interact with each other by commenting on submission, rating etc 12
