2. What are my options..... what should I do? Study at a partner university in Germany or Austria via the Erasmus+ scheme (1 or 2 Semesters)....... teach as an ELA (English Language Assistant) at a German or Austrian school via the British Council...... take a work placement, usually in conjunction with one semester at a university

3. - students wanting to go to Berlin, Cologne or Munich have to commit to the whole year, i.e. they will not be allowed to go on a work placement in the second half of the YA - Ger/Bus students normally choose a university placement in the first half and a work placement in the 2nd half of the YA - See website for further info on partner unis - Forms have to be returned by 4th December 2015 University placements

5. British Council Assistantships Online application process to the British Council during the Autumn term. Applications are competitive, a very tight timeline. By Spring 2016, successful candidates informed: rejections and waiting lists. Teach up to 12 hours per week, conversation. Salary, health insurance, plus Erasmus status and money. Help with accommodation/ Betreuungslehrer/in. Apply by preference to Bundesland – all areas.
