3 Christmas isn't celebrated in the same way everywhere
Christmas isn't celebrated in the same way everywhere. Each country has different traditions. Russia moves away Christmas as we know it in Europe.

4 After the October Revolution of 1917, Russia adopted the Gregorian calendar. In this calendar, delayed 13 days the Gregorian, Christmas parties are held a little later. So, Christmas Day is celebrated on January 7th.

5 6 of January is equivalent to Christmas Eve
6 of January is equivalent to Christmas Eve. During this evening , at ten in the evening, the President directed the traditional Christmas ceremony at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior , which is located in the center of Moscow. Also, the January 7 , Patriarch held the liturgy in a Moscow monastery

6 The Orthodox Church proposes a fast of Advent
The Orthodox Church proposes a fast of Advent. It is from November 28 until January 6 . The last day the people remain fasting all day. Just after the first star appears, they can eat . The most typical dish is called sochivo, which is prepared with grains of wheat and poppy, with walnuts and honey.

7 During these days you can find rinks everywhere and lights of many colors. These show the born of Jesus. There are many tipical shows for children similar to medieval puppets.

The mythical carols are replaced by a Slavic song called koliadki. These songs are usually sing with Christmas cards for Christmas Eve. It is usually to find people dressed in costumes who sing these songs in the cities.

9 In places like Moscow, charitable Christmas fairs are organized, where we can buy sweets, handmade toys and all kinds of products related to these dates.

10 Obviously if Christmas is celebrated on January 7th, the New Year is also celebrated after 1st January. Specifically, the night from 12th to 13th January we find the holiday called New Year's Eve.

12 CONCLUSION We love meeting about another tradiction like Russia. Russia is a wonderful country where you can find a different and beautiful Christmas. Our favourite thing about our work is Dez Moroz. We hope you like it.
