2 2 Starter - The square game In groups of 5 When the game starts open your envelope and look at the pieces. The game will end when each of you has made a square. Each square must be exactly the same size. You can pass a piece of card to one of the others but you must not reach out and take one. There must be no talking during the game and no other communication. You may at any time refuse to take further part. The teacher has the right to stop the game at any time.

3 3 What is a consumer? We are all consumers and have to make decisions as to how we will spend our money e.g. pocket money and pay A “consumer” is really a “user” We use goods and services every day. We travel on buses and trains or in cars. We occasionally visit a doctor, dentist. We go to the cinema We have our hair cut. We buy clothing and food. We use coal or oil etc., to keep warm We expect clean water from the tap We attend school
