Our research 1)We went to local shops in order to gather information on the origin of the most common food 2)We calculated the distance between the origin and the sale point 3)We calculated the environmental impact in kg of co2 emitted in the transportation process

An average car consumes 0,15 grams of CO 2 per Km… When you eat a banana from Ecuador you pollute as if you were driving your car for 6 km 2 km if you drink a cup of coffee from Brazil 1 km if you eat cacao from Central Africa

Fair trade: a responsible choice Normal trade Fair Trade Supporting a direct relation between the consumer and the producer, fair trade is a responsible choice for two reason: 1) It improves economy of poor countries, supporting the small local producers 2)It minimizes pollution, reducing the number of mediators between the producer and the consumer.
