Marketing my film Francesca Chambers

The poster is the first thing that will be realised as it is a simplistic poster with limited information on it. On the poster there will be a website people who are interested can go to, to get more information on the film and information on trailer release and film relies dates. The website will be advertised on the posters and also the trailer. Another way we will market the website is on social media by paying for limited mount of adverts on face book that when clicked take you to the Human Circus website. The main function of the website is to create excitement around the release o the trailer and then the release of the film. As well as this the website will give information on the actors and a new clip every month of ‘the making of’ leading up to the cinema date. This will hopefully keep our target audience of 18 – 30 year olds and our secondary audience of 16 – 17 year olds checking the website and being interactive. As well as a website there will also be a face book and twitter page for Human Circus to keep people interested updated as it is important in the modern age to keep products prominent on social media as this is a major platform for marketing, and its free! The release of the trailer will be announced on the website and put on YouTube, the link will then be posted on the Human Circus face book and twitter pages. Train Spotting's marketing campaign worked really well so I looked into that even though it is not the same genre as mown it was quite a low budget film.

A marketing campaign I thought was very well done is the posters for trainspotting. A verity of posters showing prominent counterseal themes from the film makes for a very eye catching intriguing image. These posters defiantly capture people making them want to know more about the film.

Director at the top of the poster. Prominent eye catching image to intrigue viewers. Actors names. Bold film title. Bright orange background is a theme through the whole marketing campaign right up to the DVD. Also a bold stand out colour.
