13 Characteristics of Zhou  Feudalism: Political system in which nobles or lords granted the use of lands that belong to king, these people had to protect King in times of war  Roads and canals built to stimulate trade  Coined money – also helps trade  Cast Iron now a major material for tools, weapons, and other things  Warring people – will take over more land
