In 1996, first position was funded through Carl D. Perkins grant for the School of Applied Technologies In 1997, each school funded one Achievement Coach through a TVI Works grant In 2000, Achievement Coaches hired in BIT, SAGE, HWPS and AT

Reflect active listening and understanding of the coachee’s perspective Evoke discovery, insight, commitment, or action Open-ended questions create greater clarity, possibility, or new learning Move the coachee toward what he/she desires, not justify or look backward
