2 What does a civil engineer do?
Civil engineers supervise, design, operate, and construct projects that are later used for the efficiency of a city. Such as: Dams Tunnels Airports Bridges Roads Buildings Many Civil Engineers work in the following fields: Design Construction Research Education

3 What education is needed?
Civil Engineers need a Bachelors Degree (takes about four years). A program accredited by ABET is needed in order to get licensure. Many colleges have exceptional Engineering programs. Such as: A&M The Naval Academy Berkeley Stanford Etc…

6 Career perspective According to the “American Society of Civil Engineers”, the extent of the profession is “the design and maintenance of public works such as roads, bridges, water and energy systems as well as public facilities like ports, railways and airports.”
