Phet: Natural Selection 1. in your table groups, go to your computer. 2. there is 1 set of directions at each computer…please leave them for the next class. 3. answer the pre-lab question individually 4. As a group complete the PhET simulation (20 minutes) – One person is in charge of the computer – One person is in charge of reading the directions out loud. – One person is in charge of reading the question out loud – One person is in charge of the whiteboard (this is a little later) – EVERYONE is in charge of answering the questions together and writing their answers down on their worksheets.

Phet discussion Q 17: What are the 3 “rules”? Your group came up with? Write your “rules” on your whiteboard. (2.5 minutes) Be ready to discuss your answers Be ready to fill in the table at the end of the worksheet.

Digging into Natural Selection Now that we have our 3 “rules” we will further explore the idea of “differential reproductive success”, FUN!!! You will need to pay attention to the instructions there’s a fancy table where you’ll tell the teacher info AND a table you need to fill out. Once you are done (or I stop you) fill out the Discussion Questions ONLY FOR PART A… then wait patiently
